PowerStrip stores all of its configuration settings in a private ASCII text file named pstrip.ini - which makes backing up and restoring your settings easy. In the event you need to upgrade or reinstall an operating system, you should do the following:

    1. Close PowerStrip if it is running
    2. Copy the pstrip.ini file from your PowerStrip folder to a safe place
After performing the upgrade and installing your display drivers:
    3. Install PowerStrip
    4. Close PowerStrip if it is running
    5. Copy your old pstrip.ini saved in step 2 above to your new PowerStrip folder
    6. Start PowerStrip
If you need to re-create any custom resolutions, follow the instructions in this FAQ.
