I have the chaintech XGI  V3 graphic card and its reference clock is 200/200.

nevertheless Powerstrip wrongly express its clock at 138/138 and if I intend to fix clock over 176, it will hold 176.

Please give me the solution. thank you.

Please do this:

1. Close PowerStrip if its running
2. Go to your PowerStrip folder and open the pstrip.ini file you find there in Notepad
3. Post the content here

That's really strange - PowerStrip fully supports both the X3 designs, but yours is using a *Trident*, rather than an XGI or SiS, vendor ID. I'll have to get back to you on this...

Ok - this turns out to be a Trident chip, that's been confusingly labelled as a "XGI Volari" because XGI now owns Trident.

I'll see if I can dig one of these up.

Hi i have a V3 and also a moblie V3 (XP5), Im running the latest XGI driver but i cant seem to O/Clock both cards.
Power strip reconnise them but it wont allow for over clocking.

Was this never fixed? Or does it take 5 years to get things done?>

Thanks for your time.

Is there still any one here? Can some one look into why the over clocking feature is not working  for the V3.

I'm afraid if this doesn't work, you'll need to find something else.

Well Im afraid your to lazy to look into it, PowerStrip version 2.3 use to run all features needed. But this new version does not.
Why do you help ATI and Nvidia but turn your back on other vga card makers?

I'm sorry, but that is just a silly comment and question - the answer is called market share. PowerStrip has always been user-supported software. Do a search here and you'll find there are no Volari V3 (Trident) users.

Well Im a V3 user and so was the original poster, And there is alot of XP5 users with the Dell laptops that would use this program. If you fix it they would come.  Grin
Please dont use the Majority rule vote for me. Power-Strip's early success was built on its surport of all things VGA(No Majority rule)  .

All it would take is a fix on the inf or ini file of PowerStrip. Huh

PowerStrip has *never* supported mobile graphics chips, but whatever. If all it takes is an ini switch, close PowerStrip and post your pstrip.ini file. If it is a simple case of device mis-identification, then I can give you a switch that may fix that.

If it requires more than that, you need to look elsewhere.
