I have an intel 82865 graphics controller in a dell dimension 4600. I am trying to attach a samsung syncmaster 2333 to my system (this is a 16:9 monitor).

In List All Modes, I do not get an option for 1900x1080 at 60Hz. I do have an option for 1920x1200, so the adapter seems to support a wide-screen. The adapter also seems to read the information correctly form the monitor, since it correctly reports on the monitor's maximum resolution.

Is this something that Powerstrip can help me with? It seems that I need to somehow force the adapter to accept a different resolution. If Powerstrip can help then I'll give it a shot.

Thanks!

Nope - PowerStrip can't help because Intel 865 drivers don't support user-defined resolutions. But have a look at this thread.
