I have two sony vaio from Z series, both with Nvidia 330M, and windows 7  ( one ultimate, one professional)
Neither has the windows option for rotation or orientation, nor the standard Nvidia option for rotation and irotate simply does nothing.
Any ideas?
Nvidia blames Sony,  Sony blames Nvidia.  This is a  $3000 computer unable to do something so basic!

It is very informative post

i suspect you are being ironic............i dont blame you.

the problem has been laboriously solved by  returning the computers and switching to mac.

That was just a spam post - it, and the poster, have been deleted.

Your Sony problem is not uncommon, and is definitely owned by Sony. Even if it were an NVidia issue - and its not - it would still by Sony's fault since Sony selected and accepted components from NVidia.
